A Year to Remember: 2020 in Review

For the first time ever, FORUM went remote. Virtual FORUM 2020 included six technical sessions and took place over three days: April 22, April 29 and May 6. On May 28, Virtual Innovation Central stood in as a replacement for INFOFLEX 2020 and allowed attendees to discover new solutions to fit customers’ needs, improve workflows and strengthen business.Virtual FORUM 2020 Logo

Themed “Color, Brands, Technology: The Complete Package,” Virtual FORUM 2020 was chaired by Hank Welter of TC Transcontinental Packaging and co-chaired by Ellen Farrell of DuPont Image Solutions and Kim Madigan of Smyth Companies. Attendees praised the event and were pleased with the smooth transition to an online format. Other feedback:

  • 92 percent rated the entire event as good or excellent
  • 93 percent rated the speakers as good or excellent
  • 90 percent rated the topics presented as good or excellent

“I thought, under the circumstances, the FORUM was awesome. The quick switch from physically being there [to] virtual was well done,” reported one attendee. “Excellent work as usual,” said another attendee, adding, “From my experience as an industry technology supplier to working at a printer to now being at the brand owner/CPC end, FTA ranks as the best in-depth learning and membership experience in the industry!”

Virtual Fall Conference 2020 took place Oct. 5-7 with six technical sessions and 20 presentations. Themed “Collaboration Achieves Perfect Vision,” the event was chaired by Paul Lancelle of Miraclon, and included a Virtual Exhibit that extended until Oct. 16. Attendees praised the overall event as an “excellent experience.” “Great adaptation of a conference during these unprecedented times,” said one attendee, while another said, “Each session had something that was applicable to our business.”
