Dynamic Dies Kicks Off 50th Anniversary with “Top Workplace” Recognition

TOLEDO, OHDynamic Dies is honored to be named a 2021 Top Workplace as it begins a year-long celebration of its 50-year anniversary. The distinction is awarded annually in recognition of top employers who are committed to developing and sustaining a culture that values its employees. This is the second time Dynamic Dies has received the award.

The Top Workplace is an honor for any company to receive because it is based solely on the anonymous survey feedback from each company’s employees. The survey is conducted by Energage, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. Survey results showed that Dynamic Dies ranked above the benchmark national average for both employee participation and employee engagement.

This has been our mantra since the company began 50 years ago this year. It is amazing that we will be celebrating our 50th anniversary as well as this honor in the same year. Long-term employee tenure is a testament to how Dynamic Dies treats it team members. More than 42 percent of Dynamic Dies employee have been at the company 10 or more years and more than 29 percent of the employees have proudly been part of the Dynamic Dies family for more than 20 years. “Dynamic Dies has always recognized that its strength comes from our employees,” added Jill Kopanis, vice president of human resources. “It’s a thrill to see our organization recognized this way for the second time.”

One employee commented in the survey: “The company cares about my well-being, is supportive and understanding of work and family life, has amazing benefits, competitive with pay and cares about those who work in the company.” That is the culture established by founder and CEO Tom Sullivan, who founded the company on the belief that if you take care of the employees, they will take care of the customer. Putting employees first and treating them like family was one of the keys in winning the award.

Top indicators from the survey show that Dynamic Dies has a caring culture and along with a family-oriented culture, with employees also citing work-life balance and open-door policy by top leadership. More than 400 employers in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan were invited to participate in the selection process with only 22 receiving the award in the mid-sized company category.
