Dixie Graphics Achieves WBE Certification

Dixie Graphics logo NASHVILLE, TN—Pat Meadows, president of Dixie Graphics Inc., (DG) announced the company’s recent WBE certification by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), effective March 11, 2014.

As a brand services partner with consumer packaged goods companies (CPGs), packaging printer/converters and architectural signage fabricators and designers, WBE certification places DG in a select group. According to the Center for Women’s Business Research, only 15 percent of women owned businesses are categorized as providing professional, scientific or technical services.

WBENC logoWBENC is the largest third party certifier of businesses owned, controlled and operated by women in the United States. WBENC, a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit, partners with 14 regional partner organizations to provide its world class standard of certification to women owned businesses throughout the country. WBENC is also the nation’s leading advocate of women owned businesses as suppliers to America’s corporations.

“Dixie Graphics proudly promotes diversity in employment and purchasing, and in doing so, selecting the best,“ Meadows said. “With our WBE certification, we can assure customers of diversity in their own selection of vendors and promote partnering on the basis of best quality and service delivery.”

Diversity in the CPG industry has grown largely because of groups such as the Network of Executive Women, founded in 2001 by a group of industry executives who believed there were not enough female leaders in consumer products and retail. The industry’s largest learning and leadership community, the network has more than 8,000 members, 700 companies and founding sponsors including CPG global leaders such as PepsiCo Inc., Procter & Gamble, Kraft Food Group Inc., Nestlé Group, Mondelēz, Int’l Inc. and The Coca-Cola Co.
