The Lowdown on Laydown: How New Ink, Anilox & Related Technologies Improve Quality & Consistency

Performance improvement. Many credit it to process control—optimization of print production and product offerings alike. Guaranteeing predictability requires setting new standards for all print deck components, perhaps emphasizing the anilox and its role. Put simply, ensuring quality and consistency necessitates the establishment of uniform ink flow that delivers smooth viscosity.

Join representatives from Apex International and Zeller+Gmelin as they discuss the impact cutting-edge ink, anilox and complementary technologies have on print quality and consistency.

For Such a Time as This: New Products to Meet Customer Business and Social Trends

11:25 – 11:45 a.m.
Presented by Ed Dedman, Zeller+Gmelin

These last few months have seen tremendous upheaval in our society and our industry. New demands were placed on the label and packaging supply chain to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Increased use of shrink sleeves to replace pressure-sensitive (PS) labels on a wider range of packaging is occurring. Changing trends in print production are driving demand for more and more short-run digital print methods.

As a result, Zeller+Gmelin has focused product development to supply new inks and coatings to help printers react to their customers’ needs, and optimize their print production and product offerings. Listen to Ed focus on several ground-breaking products that may be of interest to the label and packaging printing industry at large.
