FTA Recognizes an Emerging Leader with the 2018 President’s Award

INDIANAPOLIS, IN –May 6, 2018 –Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) honors an emerging leader with the 2018 President’s Award. Jason Cagle, MacDermid Graphics Solutions, was recognized at tonight’s Awards Banquet, held in conjunction with the Association’s Forum & INFOFLEX 2018 at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown in Indianapolis, IN.

Everyone has heard the old adage, “The youth is wasted on the young.” This is absolutely not the case when it comes to Jason Cagle. At the onset of his college career at Clemson University, Jason already displayed the characteristics of an engaging role model as leader of the school’s 2012 Phoenix Challenge team. He went on to accomplish a long list of achievements within the industry while at school, including providing his skills on the 2014 FLEXO Magazine Cover Project, repeating that feat in 2017 while at MacDermid. He was the first-place recipient of the 2015 FFTA Rossini North America Flexographic Research Scholarship. In 2016, Jason completed a trifecta of achievements, graduating from Clemson, presenting his research results at Forum and starting his career at MacDermid, where he is an application development specialist based out of Atlanta, GA.

In the past year, Jason participated in the Flexography 101 & 102 sessions at Forum 2017, presented beside Mark Samworth at Fall Conference 2017, and is co-chair of this year’s “Troubleshooting Survival Guide” Forum session in Indianapolis. Jason is an active member of FTA and is currently the chair of the Emerging Leaders Committee, which is something he has been a part of since its inception.

FTA is proud to recognize Jason for his exemplary leadership skills. He is wise beyond his years and continues to be a model of excellence for young professionals in the package printing and converting industry.
