ARNHEM, NetherlandsMPS announces a successful official opening event of its new headquarters in Arnhem, held on May 29. Wim van den Bosch, CEO of MPS and Michiel Scheffer, regional minister in the province of Gelderland (The Netherlands) officially cut the red ribbon in front of more than 250 guests including MPS customers, partners and suppliers in addition to Ine van Burgsteden, city counselor of Arnhem.

Opening Event Highlights

For the opening ceremony, the new MPS building was gift wrapped with a life sized red ribbon and bow, along with a red carpet leading guests through the entrance. The ribbon was adorned with a piece of web substrate as a tribute to the narrow web industry. During the opening ceremony, speeches were given by members of the MPS board in addition to W&R Etiketten owner Jack Willemsz, the first Dutch customer of MPS. Willemsz was invited to push a button of a cannon that shot ink onto a vast canvas, unveiling the new MPS Printing Productivity logo.

Guests received a tour through the new factory, offices, and the new expertise and technology center where demonstrations of the EF multisubstrate flexo press were presented. The center, which also showcases the EB label press, will be a valuable resource for customers, suppliers and partners for training and collaborating on new label printing applications and innovations.
