IST Metz to Release LEDcure SCR at Labelexpo Americas 2018

NUETINGEN, Germany—At Labelexpo Americas 2018, taking place Sept. 25-27 in Rosemont, IL, IST Metz is releasing a specially designed retrofit concept for rotary and flexo presses called LEDcure SCR. This concept is designed by experts with more than 40 years of experience of installing UV onto rotary or flexo presses. LEDcure SCR can easily be integrated into a new or existing press.

The length of the system can be freely scaled (3.5-in. to 21-in.) and also adapted to suit all requirements of rotary and flexo presses.

The new LEDcure is the final element in the completely reengineered range of LED solutions supplied by IST in collaboration with its subsidiary Integration Technology Ltd (ITL). Increasingly, synergies between the two companies are having an impact—as an example, the XT8 Booster. The XT8 booster technology results in the LEDcure offering up to 30 percent more output than other available LED systems, according to IST America.

The new Xchange concept allows immediate onsite exchange and is meant to provide ideal service conditions with minimal downtimes. The Xchange concept is meant to make LEDcure SCR a flexible and future-proof LED system. In addition, it allows mixed modes at different wavelengths, and a subsequent output upgrade.

The LEDcure SCR is supplied as fully configured package including cables, power supply, control and chiller, full light shielding and interlocking for total safety compliance. The system will be installed by experienced IST technicians.
