GAITHERSBURG, MD—MCS, Inc. is pleased to announce that Inland Group of Orange County, CA has recently acquired the MCS Eagle FlexPrint printer. Inland Group is a full service printer, providing design, database, lettershop, variable data printing, EDDM, fulfillment and direct mail services.
Inland Group is a 31 year old company with a staff of 40 and considerable print and finishing equipment. While they serve many specialty areas (financial services, residential and commercial real estate and mortgage companies) the company boasts a diverse customer mix.
Inland began its relationship with MCS by acquiring the MCS Array Inkjet system several years ago, which they continue to utilize for overflow work and backup. They recently upgraded to the Eagle FlexPrint.
“We are seeing new types of work, longer pieces with a panel fold, for instance. We needed to inkjet across more inches and required the ability to print in two places on the piece. The Eagle FlexPrint prints across more inches, and we can turn it to improve speed and output. In fact, the FlexPrint does 90 percent of our work now,” explains Steve Urban, owner of Inland Group. “Our work requires fast turnaround with high volume. With the Flexprint, we have improved productivity, speed and efficiency,” he says. Inland is producing between 1 million and 1.5 million pieces per month.
The MCS Eagle FlexPrint offers performance similar to UV inkjets, but with the flexibility of water based inks. Speed, quality, print width and ink cost make the MCS FlexPrint the most advanced inkjet in the mailing and printing industries. In today’s market, it pays to be efficient. The MCS FlexPrint can easily address mail at more than 30,000 pieces per hour, at 600 dpi. The permanent piezo head offers the lowest total cost of imaging at 600 dpi. It has the ability to print on glossy stocks, aqueous and uncoated stocks.
Urban remarks on their choice of vendors: “We had an urgent need, and we had very comfortable relationship with MCS.
