Correct-Touch Graphic Arts, Asahi Upgrade Airlite Plastics

OMAHA, NE—Airlite Plastics has recently added an all in one Asahi AWP 2530 plate making system, along with upgrading its Esko CDI to full HD. The Omaha based company had been searching for a better flexo plate and an increase in overall print quality. And, like many companies, it was looking to reduce its carbon footprint and improve sustainability in its operation. With the Asahi AWP Water Wash Plate System, it found everything it was looking for in one place.

“After thoroughly testing various plates on the market, it was determined that Asahi’s AWP water processed plate had the greenest footprint and printed better and longer than any other plate on the market today. It made sense to everyone at Airlite Plastics when we decided to utilize the Asahi AWP material exclusively,” stated Chris Varnell, graphics director of Airlite Plastics. “The improvement in print quality, the positive environmental impact, the improved plate life and the overall increased efficiency that AWP provided us, was a slam dunk. The Asahi AWP plate really gave us everything we were looking for in a high quality plate material. We can now make plates in less than an hour, and we’re 100 percent VOC free.”

CT Graphic Arts, the exclusive distributor of Asahi Photopolymer Plate Material in the U.S., completed the installation of the new AWP2530 system last week. Scott Keran, president of CT Graphic Arts had this to say; “Chris’ testament to the positive impact that the Asahi AWP plate has had in both reducing carbon foot print and increasing productivity are directly attributed to the benefits of AWP’s pinning top dot technology.”

Scott also stated; “At CTGA our goal is always the same, to help lift our customers to a higher level of quality, productivity and profitability. We accomplish this with the help from an exceptional technical sales team, a dedication to the highest level of customer service and support; and a technologically superior and progressive product line like that of Asahi.”
