BIELEFELD, Germany—On Feb. 25-26, Bobst Bielefeld will hold an open house in its Compentence Center in Bielefeld, Germany. Like at last year’s open house in October, there will be both a print demonstration and speeches on process related topics to update visitors on the latest technological developments.
The live demonstration will be focused on a BOBST F&K 20SIX CS model, flagship of the platform based F&K 20SIX series of CI flexo presses. The model that will be on demonstration features a print width of 65-in. (1,650-mm.), a repeat of 47.2-in. (1,200-mm.), and a speed of 1,970 fpm (600 mpm). It is designed for both solvent and water based printing. Among the extensive range of equipment on show are smartGPS, the off press impression setting system, shaftless winders, a 100 percent inspection system, a special slitting device, and last but not least an auxiliary system for handling large format cylinders.
The first day of the event (Feb. 25) is targeted at an international audience with all presentations given in English, whereas on Feb. 26 all presentations will be given in German. On both days, the formal agenda is scheduled from 11 a.m. to approximately 6:30 p.m.
