BOHEMIA, NY—Flexographic Technical Assocation has named Becky Bunch, XSYS, and Brent Zurcher, MicroDynamics, as the respective chair and vice chair of its Leaders Inspiring Flexo’s Tomorrow (LIFT) Committee.

In making the announcement, Laura Wright, FTA chair, stated, “For the past several years, many in the flexographic industry have struggled to find and keep good employees. It is our hope that the establishment of  LIFT will help FTA attract and retain young flexographers by providing them with a peer group and resources to foster interest in the industry and career development. We are thrilled to be receiving so much positive feedback about this group as it begins to take shape.”

Bunch and Zurcher each commented on their appointments.

“I’m honored and excited to step into the role of LIFT Chair, leading a community dedicated to empowering the next generation of flexographic leaders. This industry has been such a meaningful part of my career and my life, and I’m driven to help others discover the same sense of purpose, opportunity, and pride it has given me,” Bunch noted.

“I see LIFT evolving into an even more active, engaged, empowering, and forward-thinking community—a space where emerging leaders can connect with industry veterans, exchange ideas, gain meaningful skills, and grow their careers, while actively contributing to the future of flexo,” she continued.

“By fostering stronger ties between seasoned professionals and new talent, expanding professional development opportunities, and sparking innovation, we can ensure our industry remains dynamic, relevant, and advancing.”

Bunch concluded, “I’m thrilled to collaborate with Brent Zurcher, my vice chair, our passionate LIFT members, the FTA team and the broader industry to continue shaping this bright future. Together, we will work to strengthen relationships, elevate engagement, and provide a platform for emerging leaders to thrive and make a meaningful impact by lending their voice to be part of a community that is actively building the next chapter of flexo with innovation, passion, and purpose.”

For his part, Zurcher observd, “Over the last few years, being connected to a network of industry peers at FTA has completely changed my perspective and my dedication to this industry.  I’ve found a growing passion about being able to enable newcomers to the industry to experience the benefits of community–right out of the gate.  As our industry looks to grow and recruit the next generation—and develop their passion for printing in the long term—LIFT has a unique opportunity and responsibility to build a thriving community of young/early professionals that are committed to growing their own careers, as well as a successful industry.”
