As a way of reaching the objectives set forth by its leadership team, the Committee will be organizing and working in four subcommittees, each of which represents a singular objective:

  • Marketing/Strategy: Increasing awareness of the Committee, and defining its long- and short-term goals
  • Recruitment: Coordinating with schools to find Committee members and network
  • Mentorship: Develop relationships between Committee members new to the industry and those with experience
  • Leadership Diversity: Work toward increasing female representation on panels, speaking opportunities and industry leadership roles

“I’d like to thank everyone who agreed to lend their talents and expertise to the leadership of the Women of Flexo Committee in order to ensure that we are prepared to address the issues faced by women in this industry,” said Dr. Woolbright.

“This Committee is made up of talented and diverse industry leaders that will continue to deliver on our administration’s commitment to gender equality and opportunity,” added FTA President Mark Cisternino. “We at FTA will work with the group to ensure that women have every opportunity to determine their future within this industry.”

The next Women of Flexo meeting will take place at FORUM 2020 on Sunday, April 19. For more information, contact the Committee’s FTA liaison Katie Graham.
