FTA Expands Its Industry Reach with Acquisition of FlexoExchange.com

BOHEMIA, NY —The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) has acquired FlexoExchange.com, a long-standing online hub for flexographic printing professionals. After more than three decades of ownership and nurturing the industry’s top online forum, Frank and Sharon Burgos, founders of FlexoExchange.com, have transitioned the site to the FTA, ensuring that this invaluable community and knowledge base continue to thrive.

Since its launch, FlexoExchange.com has served as a trusted, go-to destination for the flexographic community, providing open discussion, peer-to-peer learning, and shared expertise. The forum boasts an active user base of more than 4,000 regular participants and a deep archive of conversations on topics spanning flexographic printing, production techniques, employment opportunities, and emerging technologies.

“FlexoExchange has been a vital part of our industry’s knowledge-sharing culture for decades,” said Nathan Ridnouer, FTA president. “Bringing this platform under FTA’s umbrella ensures its legacy continues, while also creating exciting new opportunities for engagement, education, and collaboration within the flexographic community. We’re honored that Frank and Sharon have entrusted the FTA to carry that legacy forward and to ensure it continues to serve as a vibrant space for learning and connection.”

“FlexoExchange has always belonged to the people who use it—the printers, converters, and suppliers who make up the heart of flexography,” said Frank and Sharon Burgos. “By joining the FTA family, FlexoExchange will have new opportunities to evolve while staying true to its roots as a place for open dialogue, problem-solving, and connection. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this community and thrilled to know it will continue to grow and serve the industry we love.”

“FlexoExchange has always been a place where flexographers could learn from one another and share solutions openly,” said Laura Wright, chair of the Foundation of FTA Board of Trustees. “By integrating this trusted forum into FTA, we’re ensuring that spirit of collaboration remains accessible to all members while enhancing the ways we connect, educate, and grow together as a community.”

FlexoExchange will be managed by FTA’s Membership Engagement team and will continue to operate in its current format for the foreseeable future.

Throughout 2026, FTA will explore opportunities to integrate FlexoExchange more deeply into its programs and outreach efforts, positioning it as a key channel for industry research, member engagement, and identifying emerging experts in flexography.
