The Hybrid Plant

Flexo, digital, and offset each offer distinct strengths—whether in speed, cost efficiency, run length, or print quality. But what happens when those strengths are combined? This session dives into strategies for building a hybrid print environment that maximizes efficiency, expands service offerings, and delivers flexibility to brand owners.

Speakers

Tom Sanders

I started a career in flexible packaging printing in 2003 as a flexographic printing supervisor at Sealed Air. Over the years, I moved into various engineering and leadership roles within Sealed Air. Initially, my technical focus was on print process improvement through set-up time reduction and rate/yield improvement projects. In 2021, I moved into a role leading our Digital Print Development. This role encompasses continued development of our proprietary Digital print process to meet commercial needs for Sealed Air. Muiltiple presses and printing units have been installed throughout the Sealed Air network during this time. The primary focus of Digital Print at Sealed Air remains the commercialization of the Sealed Air 5540s - wide-web Digital presses capable of print at 400 fpm
