FTA Names Two Recipients of 2022 Technical Innovation Award

BOHEMIA, NY—FTA has announced two recipients of a 2022 FTA Technical Innovation Award, which recognizes trailblazers making an impact on the package printing and converting industry.

The award-winning technologies were named on Sunday, March 13 during the Awards Banquet at FORUM 2022, FTA’s annual four-day technical conference.

The companies receiving a 2022 Technical Innovation Award, and their technologies, are:

  • DuPont™ Cyrel® Solutions, for its Cyrel Lightning Plates, flexographic plates designed to increase efficiency on high-end and high-cost LED exposure units while matching or exceeding the quality of longer exposure times (Prepress Graphics Category)
  • SOMA spol sro, for its SOMA Changeover Wizard, a flexographic press user interface that guides the press operator throughout a job to optimize the process and minimize operator error (Heavy Metal Category)

“Forward-thinking companies like the recipients of this year’s Technical Innovation Award pave the future for flexography,” said FTA Director of Education Joe Tuccitto. “These innovations will help shape where the industry is headed.”
