FTA Accepting Entries for 2020 Technical Innovation Awards

BOHEMIA, NY—FTA has announced the call for entries in the 2020 Technical Innovation Awards. Any organization or individual involved in the flexographic supply chain—including printers, converters, print buyers, suppliers, designers and students—is eligible to submit an entry.

For more than two decades, the Technical Innovation Award has recognized groundbreaking and industry-advancing products, processes and technologies. Entries are placed into one of three categories—Prepress – Graphics, Prepress – Pressroom or Heavy Converting Equipment—and evaluated by a committee of experts on a half-dozen criteria that includes its overall achievement, impact on the industry’s future and testimonial from a real-world user.

“The recognition that comes with receiving a Technical Innovation Award is huge, within the industry and even outside it,” said Jennye Scott of Berry Global, who was a winner of the award in 2013. “It was a true partnership with our machine vendor and enabled us to supply high-end products for our customers.”

The recipients of a 2020 Technical Innovation Award will be announced on April 19, 2020 at FORUM 2020’s Awards Banquet. The winning technology or technologies receive comprehensive analysis in FLEXO Magazine, recognition on FTA’s website and coverage from its various social media channels (which include Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook).

To enter the 2020 competition, visit the Technical Innovation Awards web page and download a brochure. Entries must be received by Feb. 7, 2020. For more information, contact Shelley Rubin at 631-737-6020, ext. 136.
