FTA Accepting Entries for 2020 Sustainability Excellence Awards

BOHEMIA, NY—FTA is calling for entries for the 2020 Sustainability Excellence Awards. The competition is focused on recognizing companies addressing challenges in environmental, social and economic fields.

Both flexographic printers and suppliers have been past winners of the Sustainability Excellence Award, which calls attention to:

  • Sustainability programs which have either enhance workers’ wellbeing or lessen the environmental impact of flexographic printing
  • Sustainability innovations such as techniques or technologies that either enhance workers’ wellbeing or lessen the environmental impact of flexographic printing

“FTA is proud to honor its members for the advancements they have made in sustainability,” said Doreen Monteleone, manager of the FTA Sustainability Excellence Awards program. “For nearly two decades, we have recognized the business practices and new technologies that have helped to shape and elevate flexographic printing as a more sustainable printing process.”

The core goals of FTA’s sustainability program are to inspire and stimulate long-term strategies and investments to achieve a more environmentally friendly industry, and to guarantee the future of packaging. The program is part of FTA’s long-term vision to support a modern, unified packaging industry by providing knowledge, consultancy and advocacy, and connecting members.

The 2020 Sustainability Excellence Awards competition is open to any stakeholder in the flexographic printing supply chain, whether an FTA member or not.
