BOHEMIA, NY – Feb. 14, 2018 – How do you proactively develop a productive company culture that truly aligns with long-term strategy? Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA) Forum 2018 seeks to answer this question along with many others in an insightful technical session titled “Culture Eats Strategy: Strategic and Cultural Alignment.” Session chairs Dr. Nona Woolbright, Clemson University and Kevin McLaughlin, Flexo Concepts have put together a comprehensive list of speakers and presentations scheduled for 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 6 at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown.
“In today’s workplace landscape, company culture and employee engagement should be an utmost priority in order to attract as well as retain top talent,” said Dr. Woolbright. “Your employees spend 40 or more hours a week immersed within your workplace culture—its effect goes beyond their work life as it will spill over to their home life as well (and that can have both positive or negative consequences for your company or plant).
Culture is a determining factor in the success of the organization. Our speakers will share stories of how their positive company culture influences employees and their productivity. You will see evidence of how a good cultural fit directly correlates to employees who enjoy work when their needs and values are consistent with those in the workplace. And, what can happen when those value do not line up.”
Expect practical examples of this subject to be covered during the two-hour session. The roster of speakers and their presentation titles includes:
- Tara Halpin, Steinhauser, “The Steinhauser Way”
- Cynthia Sims, Clemson University, “When the Whole Is Greater Than the Parts – The Multiplier Effect of Synergy on Strategy and Culture”
- Rachel Acevedo and Phil Ryan, Flexo Concepts, “The Spectrum of Culture – From Employee to Customer”
