Bob Coomes of PPC Flexible Packaging Named Chair of FTA’s 2025 Technical Conference
BOHEMIA, NY—The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) proudly announces Bob Coomes, graphics, pre-press and print specialist at PPC Flexible Packaging, as chair of the upcoming 2025 FTA Technical Conference. A respected leader in the packaging and printing space, Coomes brings decades of experience and insight to the planning and execution of this premier technical event.
The 2025 FTA Technical Conference, set to take place in Orlando, FL, Sept. 21-23 will gather industry professionals from across the flexographic printing supply chain to explore emerging technologies, process innovations, and practical solutions driving the future of package printing. As chair, Coomes will lead the development of the conference’s agenda, helping to shape content that meets the evolving needs of press operators, prepress experts, engineers, brand owners, and business leaders alike.

Bob Coomes serves as graphics, pre-press and print specialist at PPC Flexible Packaging, where he leads initiatives in color science, process optimization, and print quality improvement across a national network of facilities. With more than 30 years of experience in packaging and print technologies, Bob is recognized throughout the industry for his technical acumen and commitment to continuous learning.
A longtime advocate for industry education, Bob has contributed to FTA’s training programs, technical committees, and conference stages. He currently sits on the organization’s Board of Directors and is the board chair elect for Foundation of FTA’s Board of Trustees. His expertise spans flexographic printing, color management, G7 implementation, and statistical process control. Known for bridging theory and application, Bob is passionate about helping teams achieve real-world performance gains through practical technical excellence.
