Women of Flexo 2026 conference registration open

CLEMSON, SOUTH CAROLINA—Did you know about 25 percent of working women report feeling job burnout? According to Deloitte’s Women @ Work 2024 report of 5,000 working women, nearly 1 in 4 women surveyed feel energy-depleted and detached from their jobs.

A Gallup.com survey notes that 51 percent of working women report feeling stressed “a lot of the day,” and 42 percent say their job has negatively impacted their mental health in the past six months—both significantly higher than the rates for men.

In an industry that demands constant precision and performance, it is more important than ever for women to learn how to manage and rise above the challenges that lead to stress, burnout and job detachment. While these pressures are real, they are not always rooted in workload or circumstances. Sometimes, the greatest shift comes from how we perceive our work, our priorities and our place within them. In many cases, a change in perspective is the first step toward renewed clarity, confidence and momentum.

“I personally have had my own battles with workplace burnout and it’s not unique to just me. This is something I hear often from friends and colleagues in the industry: There’s so much to do and so little time to do it. Most times it’s a lose-lose situation. If I say no to projects, I worry I may be perceived as inadequate, but if I say yes then I set myself up for burnout. As someone who is learning to manage these expectations, responsibilities and my own mental health, I’m excited for this year’s WoF conference to help others do the same,” states Rachel Acevedo, WoF R&E Committee Chair and Owner of Ace Media & Marketing.

That is why the 4th Annual Women of Flexo Conference is organized around the theme of “Unwind & Rewind.” Unwind & Rewind is more than a theme—it’s a holistic approach to growth that recognizes the full experience of women working in flexographic environments.

Unwind begins by creating space. Space to step away from the constant demands of production schedules, performance metrics and expectations—both seen and unseen. Through guided conversations, shared experiences and intentional programming, conference attendees will explore healthy ways to manage stress, release mental overload and reframe challenges that can quietly lead to burnout or disengagement. The first day of the conference is designed to help women pause, reflect and reconnect with clarity and confidence, reminding us that productivity does not have to come at the expense of wellbeing.

On day 2 of the conference, sessions will shift to Rewind—a focus on the technology, innovation and leadership mindset that move both careers and the industry forward. The Rewind portion will highlight practical learning across flexography, technology, operations, and leadership. Attendees will gain tools and insights they can apply immediately, whether on the pressroom floor, in management roles or in emerging leadership positions. From evolving technologies to process improvements and professional development strategies, Rewind is about strengthening your flexo skills, sharpening your perspective and building professional momentum with intention.

Together, the 2026 Unwind & Rewind program seeks to create a balanced experience—one that supports women not only as professionals, but also as people. By pairing technical education with personal restoration, the conference seeks to foster an environment where learning, connection and growth happen simultaneously. It’s a space to recharge, refocus and leave better equipped to lead, innovate and support the next generation of women shaping the future of flexo.

The 2026 Women of Flexo Conference will be held March 17-18 at the Watt Family Innovation Center at Clemson University in South Carolina. Women of all flexo positions, from administration to production to leadership, are welcome to attend. Attendees will gain industry insights, expand professional networks and receive an exclusive tour of Clemson’s Sonoco Institute and flexographic printing program. Join us as we unwind from the challenges holding us back and rewind ourselves back up to advance the future of Flexo for all.
