CHARLOTTE, NC—The Phoenix Challenge Foundation, a premier supporter of building flexo in education and building the workforce of tomorrow, announced the 22nd annual Phoenix Challenge High School Skills Competition will be held at Central Piedmont Community College, March 20-22, at the Harper Campus in Charlotte, NC. This successful event continues to build and breed interest and talent in graphic arts and flexographic printing.
The competition brings 30-40 students from various parts of the U.S. who show their knowledge and compete in teams using their skills and showcasing various disciplines from prepress, plate making and mounting to mathematics and written skills to print setup and press operation. After two-and-a-half days of skills, challenges and pressroom judging, students are awarded and winners receive recognition to continue their pursuit of careers in label and package printing.
