PIACENZA, Italy—The pandemic has resulted in the cancellation or postponement of industry shows worldwide. That has affected the ability for the entire supply chain to present new products, new technologies and the most recent innovations in the traditional tradeshow approach.
Nordmeccanica found its own way to maintain a level of communication with customers. Nordmeccanica Events consists of live broadcasts of industry products and innovations. A website has been developed, and guests are allowed to log on and witness, live, a series of events that present products and innovations. Registered members can enjoy past events at any time.
Two events have already been offered and are now available on the website. The first introduced guests to one of the only factories in the industry that produces machinery in an assembly line environment. The Nordmeccanica Gariga plant in its entirety has been the stage for the presentation of the Simplex Family product line in its most recent release during Event 1. Nordmeccanica Plant 3 on July 14 was the stage for the second event intended to offer a presentation of the machine originally planned to run at drupa in Dusseldorf, Germany. Triples SL One Shot, the patented solution to efficiently and reliably run three-ply lamination using solventless adhesive technology, was presented and demonstrated running actual production in multiple set up during the 90-minute show of Event 2.
All events are broadcasted live thanks to a video production organization that uses up to 18 cameras and satellite connection to allow for a full HD live show. Every Event program includes short tutorials, a plant tour, a live machine run, interactivity with attendees and more.
The next event is Oct. 14 and will be broadcast out of the Nordmeccanica vacuum division plant, offering to all its customers an insight of the vacuum metallizing technology.
