Labelexpo Americas Pushed Back Due to COVID-19 Concerns

ROSEMONT, ILLabelexpo Americas 2021, previously scheduled to take place March 23–25, is moving back three months to June 8–10. The rescheduled show remains at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

Similarly, the inaugural Labelexpo Mexico, scheduled to take place from June 23–25 2021, will now take place April 26–28, 2023 at World Trade Center, Mexico City.

Tasha Ventimiglia, Labelexpo’s event director for the Americas, announced the change in plans at press time and said, “The impact of the ongoing COVID-19 situation has been far-reaching across the Americas and, given the vast amount of preparation that goes into our shows, changing the dates are not decisions we take lightly. However, the health and safety of our exhibitors, visitors and staff must, as before, remain our top priority.”

Ventimiglia noted, “Throughout this pandemic, the label and package printing industry has continued to be an essential business. We know how vitally important Labelexpo Americas is for triggering business between converters and manufacturers, and advancing the domestic market in North America. This much-needed show next year will play a vital role in the recovery of the region’s label and package printing industry and its supply chain post-COVID-19. We are fully committed to delivering safe and successful events across the Americas in 2021 and beyond, and will continue to follow all local government advice, as well as that of the CDC, World Health Organization and our partners.”

Health and safety measures being implemented at Labelexpo Americas 2021 will include wider exhibitor floor aisles of 15 feet (compared to 10 feet) allowing for social distancing, enhanced cleaning routines, clear venue signage, and revised registration areas.
