SUNNE, Sweden—PrimeBlade Sweden AB is very pleased to announce Dr. Bartek Kaplan has joined the company.
Bartek will be in charge of R&D, with a focus on further developing production facilities and developments of new doctor blade products, to further optimize the doctor blade performances for customers. Bartek is part of the PrimeBlade team as of Nov. 2.
Over the years, Bartek has gained experience as a researcher, salesman and leader in the fields of metallurgy and manufacturing. He holds a Ph.D. in computational materials science and is well-versed in the necessary experimental techniques.
Bartek’s education and industrial background have provided him with a deep understanding of materials on all length scales, from properties on the atomic scale, to macro-scale components and their performance. He has extensive hands-on experience and expertise from product, process and materials development in the manufacturing industry, including additive manufacturing. His former roles include senior R&D engineer and R&D manager at Sandvik Coromant, as well as application engineer for additive manufacturing at Linde Gas AB. His academic merits also include regularly held lectures at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, as well as supervision of MSc and Ph.D. students.
