RICHMOND, VA—Alphasonics USA, based in Richmond, VA, officially opens for business January 2018. Christopher Jones serves as vice president of the stand-alone entity, a subsidiary of Liverpool, England parent Alphasonics. That firm celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2018, and specializes in design, development and marketing of ultrasonic cleaning equipment with a client base approaching 2,000.
Product lines for the printing industry include anilox roll cleaning systems, under the “Alphasound” brand; as well as parts washing systems and flexo plate cleaning systems. Alphasonics is also an HP Indigo partner and supplies digital anilox cleaning systems. The Richmond sales office will serve the United States flexographic printing market by working to provide cutting-edge ultrasonic press room cleaning technology.
Jones, who moved to the U.S. following an eight-year stint as U.K./Ireland sales manager, commented, “I’m extremely excited to be fronting this project, designed to take us further in a market that unfortunately has been neglected for too long. I aim to bring the very best in terms of technical expertise, quality of service and a product that will bring unrivaled results in print houses across the country.” He further maintains, “It’s an extremely exciting time in terms of what comes next. What we’ve developed over the years has bigger potential than we even thought.”
