FTA Excellence in Flexography Award Winners Named

PITTSBURG, PA—Fifty-two print jobs have garnered recognition in Flexographic Technical Association’s 66th Annual Excellence in Flexography Awards competition. Identification of winning firms and announcement of the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Best of Show honors attained, came at FTA’s FORUM INFOFLEX 2025 Awards Banquet, held Sunday, May 4.

Exploits of 30 individual converting operations were heralded when all was said and done. Sticking to FTA’s tradition, six of those jobs—one each from Narrow Web, Wide Web, Mid Web, Combined Corrugated, Preprinted Linerboard and Envelope—saw a Gold Award glean enviable “Best of Show” designation. By name, they are:

  • McDowell Label, Narrow Web, RYZE Godzilla Strawberry Mango Pre-Workout Dietary Supplement Label
  • PPC Flex, Mid Web, Freeze Nums Sour Salted Caramel and Berry
  • Mondi Jackson, Wide Web, Instinct Ultimate Protein Cat Skin & Coat, 10lb Bag
  • DS Smith, Finland & Marvaco Oy, Combined Corrugated, Carlsberg, 18 Pack Pilsner
  • WestRock, Preprinted Linerboard, Pampers My Little Pony Easy Ups, 74 Pack
  • MackayMitchell Envelope Co, Envelope, Animal Rescue

Entries topped 250 with 21 percent capturing the sought after prizes. Leading the pack, narrow web with 17 honors. Following in succession—wide web at 14, envelope, 7; preprinted linerboard, 5; combined corrugated, 4; mid web, 3; and special achievement, 2.

Ten triumphant converters captured multiple awards—ranging from two, to three, and even four, between them accounting for 60 percent of 2025’s Excellence in Flexography Awards. High count—four–was mirrored by four individual printing plants—Mackay/Mitchell Envelope Co, Roberts Mart & Co, McDowell Label and Multi-Color Corp.

Also claiming multiple prizes were Emirates Printing Press, Artcraft Label, Mondi-Jackson, The Robinette Co, Marvaco Oy and Smurfit WestRock—Jacksonville.

By number, judges awarded 14 gold medals—28 percent of honors; 19 silver, representing 38 percent; and 17 bronze, for 34 percent.
