RIT ends standalone Print & Graphic Media Technology program

HENRIETTA, NY—Rochester Institute of Technology is announcing the strategic integration of the Print and Graphic Media Technology curriculum into the Packaging Science program. This decision follows extensive consultation with alumni, faculty, and industry partners and reflects the continued evolution of print technologies and workforce needs.

“Print has always been a foundational part of RIT’s identity,” said Dr. Kyle Dunno, Chair of the Department of Packaging and Graphic Media Science. “This integration preserves the core of print education at RIT while expanding its relevance and preparing students for the future of graphic communication and packaging.”

Current students will continue to have full access to coursework supporting degree completion. Prospective students will be guided toward Packaging Science, gaining experience in manufacturing processes, materials science, color management, and package printing technologies.
