An encore presentation from Fall Conference 2018, the “Even Flow” Ink Transfer session looked at the relationship between prepress, anilox and ink, a relationship that has an important role in achieving stability and reliability in the printing process. All components must be harnessed to build the foundation needed for getting desired results from plate technology. Our presenters will cover building a foundation with basic knowledge, measurement and optimization testing and tools, and quality assurance recommendations. About Our Presenters
David Smith is the manufacturing projects manager at Cyber Graphics LLC. He joined Cyber in 2010 after completing a Master of Science in graphic communications at Clemson University. David directs initiatives at Cyber relating to plate media, screening, workflow, press optimization and process control. He works closely with technology suppliers to identify and optimize product offerings that solve customers’ problems. As the coordinator for Cyber’s Engineering Co-op program, he mentors students from the University of Tennessee but remains a devoted Clemson Tiger at heart. David is also a veteran of the Phoenix Challenge College Competition as both a student and a judge. He lives in Memphis, TN with his wife Jessica, and sons Jediah and Caleb.
