FTA’s 2018 Excellence in Flexography Awards Honors Packaging’s Top Print Jobs

INDIANAPOLIS, IN –May 6, 2018 –Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA) 2018 Excellence in Flexography Awards has become ever more competitive with judges attesting to the fact that, technical detail and flawless execution took entries to a new level. In front of an audience of hundreds, 114 coveted awards, plus six best of show recipients, were revealed to be the winners at tonight’s Awards Banquet at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown in Indiana.

Guests enjoyed an evening of festivities on the first night of FTA’s May 6-9 Forum & INFOFLEX 2018. Vivid images of winners flashed on screens overhead, filling the Marriott Ballroom with visions of excellence, spawned by continually advancing package print technologies. Winners consisted of:

·      38 Gold awards
·      39 Silver awards
·      33 Bronze awards
·      3 Self Promotion awards
·      1 Non-Traditional award

“Best of Show” designees (selected from the gold award recipients in their respective categories) in the 2018 Excellence in Flexography Awards included:

·       Transcontinental Robbie for the Post Fruity Pebbles/Cocoa Pebbles Wrappers in the wide web category
·       Industrias de Plásticos SA de CV for the Cappy Infladitos Queso y Mantequilla Justice League Wrapper in the mid web category
·       Multi-Color Corp for the Francis Ford Coppola The Countess Walewska Authentic Potato Premium Vodka Label in the narrow web category
·       Visual Communication Tech on behalf of Proactive Packaging & Display for the BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse Carton in the combined corrugated category
·       WestRock Company of Canada Inc for the Danone Oikos Greek Yogurt Box in the preprinted linerboard category
·       Mac Papers Envelope Converters Inc for the TruGreen Welcome to TruGreen Envelope in the envelope category

Award winners will be displayed May 7-8 at INFOFLEX 2018 in the Excellence Award Winner’s Gallery on the show floor at the Indiana Convention Center.
