FTA Sets Fall Conference 2017 Theme, Venue, Chair

BOHEMIA, NY – June 7, 2017 – Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) today announced “The Gateway to Technology” as the official theme of Fall Conference 2017. The event will take place from Oct. 9-11 in St. Louis, MO.

Spanning over three days, with two full days of sessions and networking, the event is comprised of innovative technical sessions being orchestrated by program chair Rory Marsoun, Esko VP Business Development – Flexo, Americas. The dynamic agenda will incorporate a live hybrid print job—FLEXO Magazine’s October 2017 cover—utilizing the 2017 FTA Technical Innovation Award winning digital series hybrid press, automated imaging and exposure unit and UV LED curing low migration technology.

Mark Andy Inc., Esko and Flint Group, the award winners, will also divulge complete design and development details on their Technical Innovation Award winning contributions to the future of the flexo industry. Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit a galleria of almost 70 exhibitors ready to share their state-of-the-art services and technologies.

“As we put together the sessions for FTA’s Fall Conference 2017, our goal is to deliver strong technical content focused around new innovative technologies,” Marsoun shared. “We will be highlighting how, even with new flexo technologies and even when incorporating digital printing, the fundamentals are still valid. We want attendees to leave with real technical knowledge they can take back and use right away, while also preparing for future technology.”

FTA’s Fall Conference 2017 will take place at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch, next to the newly transformed Arch grounds and scenic riverfront. A block of rooms has been reserved at a discounted rate of $165 per night. Visit the FTA website for a link to book your rooms at our special group rate. More details to come soon for this innovation-inspired event.

Over the past two years, FTA’s Fall Conference has attracted an average of 400 flexographers. With a strong technical program, expectations are high for this year’s event. Content will address what companies need to know in order to effectively utilize innovative technology to grow their business.
