FTA Announces Call for Entries for 2017 Excellence in Flexography Awards

2017_ExcBroch_CvrBOHEMIA, NY – Aug. 25, 2016 – Today sees the launch of the 2017 Excellence in Flexography Awards, one of the most highly anticipated events on the flexographic printing industry’s calendar. Hosted by Flexographic Technical Association (FTA), the world’s leading professional society dedicated to advancing the flexographic print process, this competition recognizes and celebrates the outstanding print jobs achieved by an industry always championing for progress.

With nine categories, the Excellence in Flexography Awards are open to all organizations, regardless of size, sector or membership status. The categories are:

  • Wide Web
  • Mid Web
  • Narrow Web
  • Combined Corrugated
  • Preprinted Linerboard
  • Envelope
  • Self Promotion
  • Student
  • Non-traditional

Following the success of last year’s award competition, which celebrated 110 winners taking home a Gold, Silver or Bronze medal, and six Best of Show awards, the 2017 entries will be assessed by teams of expert judges selected based on their knowledge, influence and contribution to the improvement of flexographic print.

The deadline for entries is Jan. 25, 2017. Winners will be announced at the Annual Awards Banquet, Sunday, April 30. Winning entries will also be showcased on the INFO*FLEX show floor, featured in FLEXO Magazine, and highlighted various times throughout the year by the Association.
