FTA Accepting Entries for Sustainability Excellence Awards

BOHEMIA, NY – November 9, 2015 – Flexographic Technical Association (FTA), the world’s leading professional society dedicated to promoting and advancing the flexographic print process, is pleased to announce it is accepting entries for the 2016 Sustainability Excellence Awards competition. The deadline for entry submission is December 18, 2015.

“Sustainability has gained new momentum since the worldwide economy stabilized,” said Doreen Monteleone, manager of the Sustainability Excellence Awards program. “From new client acquisition to improving the bottom line, implementing sustainable business practices benefits any company. If they haven’t done so already flexographic printers are being pressured by their buyers seeking a sustainable supply chain. The FTA Sustainability Excellence Awards showcases flexographers and flexo suppliers that have truly embraced sustainable business practices and honors them for their achievements.”

Since 2000, FTA has been recognizing companies for pioneering efforts in developing innovative processes, products and management approaches that have had a positive impact on the environment, people and profits. Entries will be judged in two categories: Sustainability Programs and Innovations in Sustainability.

The Sustainability Excellence Award program is open to any stakeholder in the flexographic printing supply chain, whether an FTA member or not. This includes printers, suppliers, designers, prepress providers, educational facilities and print buyers.
