FORUM INFOFLEX Tuesday Keynote to Explore the Convergence of Flexo, Hybrid and Digital Printing

BOHEMIA, NYThe Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) is proud to announce that the 2026 FORUM INFOFLEX will kick-off it’s Tuesday, April 28 morning program with a keynote panel examining how flexographic, hybrid and digital technologies are converging to shape the future of packaging print.

The session, titled “Flexo, Hybrid, and Digital: Converging Paths for the Future of Packaging Print,” will take place from 8–9 a.m. at The Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and will be chaired by FTA Board Chair Paul Teachout, business development at OMET Americas.

Joining Teachout on the panel are senior executives from leading printing equipment suppliers:

· Jason Cagle, director of sales, Windmoeller & Hoelscher

· David Ellen, global divisional director, Domino

· Steve Heinze, east regional vice president of sales, Mark Andy

· Steve Lynn, executive director, Durst

· Windell McGill, digital press launch manager, BW Converting

During the session, panelists will share their perspectives on how flexo, hybrid, and digital technologies are evolving to meet the changing demands of packaging and label production. The discussion will explore where each technology delivers the greatest value today, how integration and innovation are reshaping production workflows, and what this convergence means for future investment decisions.

Attendees will gain strategic insight into how forward-thinking suppliers envision the next phase of packaging print performance, efficiency and growth. The keynote is designed to help converters, suppliers and industry professionals better understand how equipment advancements, automation and workflow integration are influencing long-term operational strategy.

The Tuesday keynote builds on FORUM INFOFLEX’s focus on education and innovation, offering attendees executive-level perspectives on the technologies driving the industry forward.

Paul Teachout

Paul Teachout has been in the packaging industry for more than 40 years. Starting out in commercial offset, he moved to flexographic press manufacturing with Webtron/Aquaflex in1986. During that period, he was honored with the South Florida Manufacturing Associations Award for manufacturing excellence in 1991 for establishing a quality assurance process for flexographic printing equipment setting standards that still remain today. Teachout has held numerous key positions including printing management, application specialists, engineering support, marketing and product development manager and vice president of sales. Teachout currently holds the position of Sales and Business Development Manager at OMET Americas. These experiences provided the opportunity for extensive global travel driving technical excellence and the continued advancement of our trade. He is also active on numerous industry committees and advisory boards, current Chairman of the FTA Board of Directors and is an FTA Level 3 First Implementations Specialist. Teachout was honored with the 2014 FTA Presidents Award, the 2017 Top Cat Award from Clemson University and the 2017 TLMI Supplier of the Year Award and is the Chairperson for the TLMI Annual Awards Competition where he has been an active committee member since 1999. Teachout was recognized in 2024 by the Label Industry Global Awards for Global Achievement within the label Industry.

Teachout has had a long history of educational and workforce development within our industry. Participating in the first PC based FlexSYS training systems with the FTA back in the mid 1990’s, to actively supporting the Phoenix Challenge High School competitions since 2008. He has played a pivotal role in having printing equipment placed at educational institutions and participating in multiple college advisory boards. Teachout is a past chair of the FTA Forum and frequent session speaker at industry events. He has shared his experiences and knowledge through countless editorial contributions, white papers and articles as well as co supplier and OEM open houses, educational PrinTHINKS and road shows.

Jason Cagle

Jason Cagle brings extensive expertise to the printing and packaging industry, seamlessly transitioning from technical roles into strategic commercial leadership. He’s currently the Director of Sales for printing, in North America at Windmoeller & Hoelscher (W&H), where his team focuses on driving innovation, customer value, and market growth. A proud Clemson University graduate, Jason considers himself a lifelong learner dedicated to personal and professional growth. His active participation in many industry associations highlights his commitment to advancing industry knowledge and standards. Beyond his professional achievements, Jason is a devoted husband and father to two young boys and resides on the coast of South Carolina in a small town called Bluffton.

Steve Lynn

Steve Lynn is Executive Director at Durst North America, who are leaders in digital inkjet printing. Steve has extensive experience in sales, product strategy, and customer success in multiple print markets. He works with print providers across North America to help them transition from traditional print technologies to high-performance digital production systems. Originally from the UK and now based in the U.S., Steve brings a practical, customer-focused approach and a passion for advancing innovation in the printing community.

David Ellen

David Ellen is Global Divisional Director of Domino – Digital Printing. David’s roles with Domino over the past 30+ years have included management & executive positions, both in the United States and United Kingdom. Prior to being promoted to Global Divisional Director in 2019, David served as President of Domino Digital Printing North America (2016-2019) after achieving great success as VP Sales (2005-2016) since coming over from Domino UK in 2005. While in the UK, David held positions of Global Director Commercial Printing, European Director Commercial Printing, UK Sales Manager, and UK Account Manager. David joined Domino in 1995.

Steve Heinze

Steve Heinze is East Region Vice President of Sales at Mark Andy, with nearly 15 years of experience at the company, including roles on the Custom Design Team. He has supported complex, high-performance applications including RFID labels, medical device components, printed electronics, and multi-web packaging projects. Steve holds an Engineering degree from Kettering University, an MBA from the University of Missouri, and an FTA Level 3 FIRST Implementation certification. He lives with his family in St. Louis near Mark Andy's global headquarters.

Windell McGill

Windell McGill leads digital press strategy at BW Converting Solutions' PCMC Business Unit, bringing 27- years of packaging industry expertise with a specialized focus on digitally printed flexible packaging. Prior to BW Converting Solutions, Windell started and served as the Managing Partner of ePac Atlanta Flexibles. ePac is the first all digitally printed Flexible Packaging converter. His group held a 49% equity interest in Atlanta, which they sold in February of 2023. Prior to opening ePac Atlanta Flexibles he was the N. American Flexible Packaging Business Segment Manager for HP Indigo. His team was responsible for sales of the HP Indigo 20000 digital press. Prior to HP, he was President Americas, AVT Inc., an Israeli based Print Quality Inspection company servicing the Flexible Packaging, Labels and Web Fed Folding Carton market. Windell serves on the Chairman’s Advisory Board and FlexPac Committee of the Flexible Packaging Association. He also is on the Advisory Committee for Smithers Digital Print for Packaging US conference.
