xeikon-filip-weymansEEDE, NetherlandsXeikon has promoted Filip Weymans to VP marketing. Previously serving in the role of director segment marketing labels and packaging, Filip has been with Xeikon for 18 years. During that time, he has driven growth, supported significant change in emerging market sectors and helped ambitious customer companies change their approach to embrace the opportunities presented by digital print.

“Xeikon was the first digital press manufacturer to bring full color digital print to the market in the early nineties and Filip joined shortly after,” Xeikon CEO Wim Maes states. “He has watched and played an instrumental role in the phenomenal growth of the digital print market. It has now reached mainstream status due to the migration of many applications from conventional technologies to digital, as well as the broad array of new applications it has enabled. Xeikon has helped businesses completely transform their production capabilities and sales approach to grow successfully in an evolving market. Now Filip will apply what he has learnt to the broader responsibilities he will have in this new role.”

Over the past few years, Filip has focused on the labels and packaging market, bringing Xeikon to an undisputed No. 2 in the industry for digital solutions in this space. Filip says, “Now that we are part of the Flint Group, we will be able to even further develop the marketing department with a strong focus on our positioning and roadmap for the future. I am looking forward to the new challenge of taking on this new role, and excited about leading Xeikon’s experienced and creative marketing team.”

Wim adds, “Filip has been a valuable member of our team for many years and has certainly earned this promotion. We will be expecting great things of him as we continue to move the company forward. With Flint Group as our parent company, and its strong investments in Xeikon as we work to make the company even more customer focused, Filip’s promotion fits perfectly with the strategy. He will certainly have the necessary resources available to be successful in this new role.”
