Shaun Kilfoyle Retires, Michael Ring Named Successor at W+D North America

NEUWIED, GermanyWinkler+Dunnebier GmbH, a worldwide technology leader in mailing and hygiene solutions, announced that Michael V. Ring has been named president and managing director of W+D North America Inc in Lenexa, KS.

Ring assumes his new role from Shaun Kilfoyle, who has spent over a decade at W+D leading the North American company through one of its most significant growth periods. During this time, Kilfoyle led W+D North America’s successful integration of people and product growth of Buhrs, F.L. Smithe and Halm Industries company acquisitions made by W+D.

Michael Ring joined W+D North America in January 2020 as executive vice president of new business development. Ring comes with proven track record leading and inspiring teams. His background focuses on delivering exceptional value to customers and leading companies through transformation, both domestically and internationally, for the last 30 years.

Ring’s career started with roles in sales and marketing while at Xerox in 1988. He’s held management positions at Georgia Pacific, Kodak, Xeikon and Gallus-Heidelberg. At Xeikon, Mr. Ring was the president of Xeikon North America and vice president of worldwide marketing and, most recently, and before joining W+D North America Inc, he headed the Gallus-Heidelberg’s efforts in the digital label printing while residing in St Gallen, Switzerland.
