ST PAUL, MN—Smyth Companies, LLC, announced the appointment of Scott Fisher to the role of president, effective June 17, 2013. Scott will report to John Hickey, CEO of Smyth Companies.
“Scott has over 32 years of experience in the packaging industry and brings a broad understanding of all operational and sales aspects of the business,” said John Hickey. “We believe that Scott’s extensive background in operations, sales and innovations, along with his M&A experience will have a significant impact on our growth strategy. His duties will include responsibility for all Smyth’s sales, manufacturing sites and future acquisitions.”
Fisher previously worked for Smyth from 1990 thru 1997. Prior to rejoining Smyth Companies as president, Scott was COO of WS Packaging Group, a $425 million packaging company with 18 locations and over 1,800 employees located across the U.S. and Mexico. Scott was instrumental in integrating more than 10 acquisitions during his 12 years with WS Packaging leveraging synergies, developing leading edge technology and deploying sustainable competitive solutions that differentiated the WS Packaging Brand.
