Outlook President & CEO John Cappy Passes Away

NEENAH, WI—John Cappy, president & CEO of Outlook Group, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 24.

John was a veteran in the paper, printing and packaging industry, with over 36 years of experience. For the last seven years he served as president & CEO of Outlook Group through a period of expansion, strategic investment and team building.

John graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, then began his career in 1980 with Champion International where he progressed through several manufacturing positions.

After Champion, John joined Appleton Papers where he worked in various capacities including manufacturing, R&D, commercial sales and field technical services. Prior to joining Outlook Group in August 2011, John was president & CEO of Appleton Coated, and general manager of the Americas where he oversaw market development of the Arjowiggins business in North and South America.

John shared time between his homes in Hilton Head, SC, and Appleton, WI. He is survived by his wife Connie and two children, Jeff and Erin.

Effective immediately, Kevin Hayes, former executive vice president, has been appointed the new president of Outlook Group by M&Q Holdings board of directors. Prior to joining Outlook Group, Kevin held executive leadership positions at NCR, Brady Corporation, Worldmark (CCL), Teklynx International and Flexo-Graphics LLC.
