Nick Tucci Named VP Sales, Patricia Hubbard Named VP R&D at Avery Dennison’s Materials Group North America

MENTOR, OHAvery Dennison announced it has appointed Nick Tucci, vice president, sales, Materials Group North America. It also announced the appointment of Patricia Hubbard, vice president, R&D, Materials Group North America.

In this role, Nick will lead the business’s field sales, technical sales, customer service and technical support teams for label and packaging materials.

“Nick’s success leading one of our smaller, global businesses has been highlighted by his emphasis on product differentiation and customer intimacy,” said Georges Gravanis, president of Avery Dennison Materials Group. “This, plus his proven track record at Avery Dennison, sets him up for success in this role.”

Nick brings 22 years of experience in the company to this new role. Nick has held a wide variety of leadership roles in procurement, finance, product re engineering and the films product line. Most recently, Nick led Avery Dennison’s Reflective Solutions business—as general manager and vice president. In this role, Nick was recognized as leader of the year in 2015.

Nick received his bachelor’s degree in Business and Finance from Miami University of Ohio and an MBA from the Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management. Nick will be based in Mentor.

In Patti’s role, she will lead the business in new product development for growth and material re engineering, drive innovation through a globally connected R&D agenda, and oversee the R&D lab and pilot assets for both the LPM and graphics solutions businesses.

Patti joins Avery Dennison from PolyOne, where she held the position of VP, corporate technology. Other roles with PolyOne include leading a global specialty engineered materials business as technology director. Previous to PolyOne, she held various R&D positions at General Electric.

Patti obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Case Western Reserve University and a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from the University of Akron. Patti will also be based in Mentor.
