ATLANTA, GA—MacDermid Graphics Solutions, a leader in the manufacturing and marketing of flexographic printing plates, announced it is the first plate supplier to receive the Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications & Tolerances (FIRST) Implementation Specialist Certification, Level III from FTA.
FIRST Implementation Specialist Certification yields experts in flexographic printing support, consultation and communication, who are proficient in communicating the principles and practices of FIRST across the entire flexographic supply chain.
“While FTA is glad a number of plate suppliers are committed to FIRST certification training for their staff, we are also pleased to congratulate MacDermid as they initially trained to completion one of the largest groups of technical representatives, managers and support staff to FIRST Implementation Specialist Certification, Level III to date. They join a long list of industry suppliers that are dedicated to promoting consistent and repeatable printing via the FIRST Certification process,” said Duane Woolbright, FTA’s manager of training services.
