Kocher + Beck Hosts FTA’s Mid American Regional Flexo Seminar

LENEXA, KS—On Aug. 11, Kocher + Beck hosted the FTA’s Mid America Regional Flexo Seminar. The seminar took place in Kocher + Beck’s new dedicated training room, which was added during the recently completed 24,000 sq. ft. building expansion.

The seminar was designed for flexographic printers, converters, suppliers and prepress providers from all market segments, located in and around the central U.S. Kocher + Beck, along with Ed Dedman of the Provident Group, Domino, Nazdar, Siegwerk and Kodak welcomed approximately 40 registered participants on Thursday morning.

The first presentation was held by Nazdar’s Josh Black, who reported on UV/LED curing technology, followed by Dean Radford from Siegwerk EIC who spoke about energy curable products for flexible packaging. Kodak’s Doug Weiss presented new flexo plate technologies for improved ink transfer, and last but not least Bill Myers of Domino educated the audience on integrating digital print output into the flexo print process.

After lunch, the participants were able to tour the Kocher + Beck production facility.
