Container Graphics Corp. Announces Retirement of President, COO Jim Alexander

CARY, NC—After a long successful career, Jim Alexander, president and COO of Container Graphics Corp., retired from the company on Jan. 8.

Jim began with Container Graphics in 1976 as a sales representative in Charlotte, NC. He was promoted to sales manager in Atlanta, GA and then to GM in Charlotte. In 1984, he was made a VP of the company and was appointed to the position of regional manager in 1990. Jim took on the role of COO in 2002 and then president in 2011.

In an internal memo, Neil Saunders, CEO of Container Graphics, wrote; “He managed with passion, care and a good dose of southern charm and humor. He did an excellent job of leading and mentoring. His presence will be greatly missed. We all wish Jim and his wife Donna a happy retirement.

Jim adds, “I will most certainly miss the entire CGC family as well as the many loyal customers I have had the pleasure of working with for nearly 40 years in the business. I am proud of the work we have done as a company of bright and dedicated people to support the corrugated industry and I leave confident that this level of support will continue and grow for many years to come.”

Neil is taking on the responsibilities of president as well as CEO.
