Absolute Introduces Ultra-Wide 2G Chambers and UniBlades

SKELMANTHORPE, EnglandAbsolute, a manufacturer of chambers and UniBlades, has literally widened its range with a new 2G chamber and an UniBlade2 for ultra-wide units.

One of its new 2G chambers, measuring 232-in. wide, is being fitted to a Göpfert machine. Meanwhile, two UniBlade2 units have been manufactured for a U.S. customer that asked Latitude Machinery Co to fit Absolute units on their new Jumbo. At 232-in., the same width as the 2G Chamber, the UniBlades have carbon fiber crossbars, and its new UniBlade2 washup system, ensuring efficient washup.

Ink loss on color change is a major issue with ultra-wide blade systems, but Absolute’s new ink return and washup is meant to drastically reduce this loss, and importantly is the standard on all UniBlade2 units.

Despite their ultra-wide size, the new UniBlades are reportedly very easy to handle and light enough for one person, as demonstrated in the picture.

Absolute has invested significantly in creating its ultra-wide units and providing a whole new dimension—not only for machinery manufacturers but also for end-user customers around the world. Now anyone within the print-packaging industry can upgrade their existing Jumbo machines—from rubber doctoring, traditional chambers and single blade systems to the UniBlade2.
