Correct-Touch Graphic Arts Helps Perfecto Label Implement Digital

DIAMOND SPRINGS, CA—Perfecto Label Co, Inc., a narrow web print shop located in Diamond Springs, CA, made the decision to move to digital, and Correct-Touch Graphic Arts was there to help them make the transition every step of the way.

Family owned and operated for 43 years, Perfecto Label’s reputation for quality and service have led to continued growth year after year. Looking for an increase in quality, sustainability and production speed, the company reached out to CTGA for help making the move to digital. It was a big decision, but after running just one job with the Asahi DSF premium digital flexo plates, the decision was very easy for the company to make. It was clear the investment to move to digital would be well worth it.

Following CTGA’s guidance, Perfecto Label took advantage of the great summer promotion from Esko and purchased a CDI 2420. That state of the art equipment, along with the quality of Asahi’s Flexo Plate material, puts them in a prime position for improved overall print quality and continued growth and success.

During training with the new equipment, CTGA’s Amber Darby sat down with Paul Chavez, owner of Perfecto Label, to discuss why going digital was important for them, and here’s what he had to say:

“There are many reasons which have attributed to Perfecto’s move to digitally imaged plate making. Some being the ability to achieve a smaller dot/the consistency of the dot produced and the elimination of film and chemistry used to produce film. Smoother screen transitions and more accurate color reproduction and smoother work flow was also the driving force to make the move. CT Graphic Arts has been key in this transition with the introduction of the Asahi plates and their non hazardous solvent wash out solution: Correct-Solve. Both have enabled Perfecto Label for the first time in its 43 years of existence to do away with all hazardous waste in the shop. While most of our CMYK work produced today at Perfecto is 150 lpi, we are looking forward to taking that up to 175 lpi. That of which is now possible with the new Esko CDI and the Asahi plates.”
