FTA Membernar: Virtual Reality Training for Tomorrow’s Flexographer

To help address the training and workforce recruitment needs of the flexographic industry, Clemson University is currently developing STRIPE VR, a virtual reality printing simulation. STRIPE VR is designed to demonstrate flexographic printing concepts and variables in a manner which is safe, consistent, immersive and highly deployable.

Using a high-end consumer virtual reality headset, a trainee can be virtually placed alongside a flexographic press, and is able to manipulate things such as impression, anilox selection, mounting tape and more, all while witnessing both visual and measurable changes to the print.
