Re-thinking Anilox Inventory Optimization for Printers
Ask most flexographic printers, and they’ll have a similar approach for managing aniloxes in their inventory: An anilox comes in at a specified volume (BCM), and eventually wears down by 15-20% before it is sent out for re-surfacing. But how often do aniloxes actually follow this pattern in the real world? We take a deep dive into data from real-world anilox inventories, which reveals a new paradigm for printers to optimize their efficiency. Whether you’re new to anilox process control, or at the forefront of the industry, there’s something to learn, and a lot we’ve yet to find out!
