Session 6: Finding and Training Tomorrow’s Workforce

How do we find and retain the men and women of tomorrow’s flexographic production workforce? And once we do, how do we instill in them the technical knowledge needed to excel and become valuable production members of their companies?

Over the past year, FTA has been conducting an industry-wide workforce study to identify why it has become so challenging to not only attract production workers to our industry but also to retain them. Hear a summary of the study’s findings and the actionable items derived from it. Then, educators from a pair of FTA member technical educational institutions will discuss how their programs attempt to address those findings.

“Plant managers, HR staff and anyone in the C-suite who misses this session is going to continue down the same workforce path—one that’s rife with challenges—that they currently are on. Workforce shortages and a lack of proper training are critical issues to our industry, and they affect nearly every converter. The information available in a session like this should not be missed, as it’s essential to understand industry trends and what our educational institutions are doing to combat the current workforce situation.”
