FTA Online : Award Competitions : Technical Innovation Award

Each year brings with it new and improved developments to the flexographic industry. Such developments are pioneered by creative problem-solvers who continually seek ways to further refine flexo’s capabilities. To encourage these problem-solvers to continue to dream up new and innovative technological advancements, the Flexographic Technical Association in co-sponsorship with Flexo Market News®, each year honors the most important technical achievement by bestowing the coveted Flexographic Technical Innovation Award.

The Technical Innovation Award recognizes those companies that have developed new and innovative technology, modified or improved an existing one, or developed an innovative printing technique. Why not join the illustrious list of Technical Innovation Award winners and submit your entry today?

Eligibility
All members of the flexographic industry are eligible for the Flexographic Technical Innovation Award. Both FTA member and non-member organizations are invited to participate. Joint entries are welcome if two or more organizations are involved in developing an innovative technology. All entries must be specific to the flexographic industry.

Judging
A qualified team of judges with a strong technical background will be selected from the major flexographic market segments.

Entries will be judged in two specific areas:

  1. Technical achievement relating to an innovative technology, including: The use of a technology new to your company to achieve excellence; An introduction of a new technology to the flexographic industry.
  2. Return on the capital employed: The capital investment per unit divided by the expected yield from this investment.
All submissions will be evaluated on both the accuracy and the completeness of the particular application. Supporting documentation from end-users of the technology should be provided with each entry, as well as any additional materials necessary to describe the technology, its history, and benefits.
