Browsers
that support FTA's Internet site
Before you begin your
exploration of Flexographic Technical Association's Internet
site, you need to make sure that you have a Web Browser that
supports Frames, Java Applets and JavaScript. This site has been
optimized for 4.0 browsers. We apologize for any inconveniences
you may encounter if you have not upgraded to a 4.0 browser.
We have provided links on this page so you can get it. There
will always be a word navigation system at the bottom of every
page, so you can navigate through the site. For the latest version
of Internet Explorer, please contact www.microsoft.com, or Netscape Communicator
www.netscape.com.
Viewing
PDF Files with Adobe Acrobat Reader
The FTA Internet Site
also allows you to access documents that are not in HTML format,
such as brochures, catalogs, help documents, etc. Those documents
are in a format known as PDF, and you can only view them by downloading the Adobe Acrobat reader. The
Adobe Acrobat Reader is FREE. It is important to note that it
may take a few minutes to completely download the application.
Instructions concerning installation and usage are available
online from Adobe.
Navigation
Help
There's much
to see on the FTA Internet site, and the best way to explore
the site and get information you want is to simply mouse over
the area of interest on our Java Navigator. The Navigator on
the left side will drop down to expose what is available in the
section you have chosen. Simply click on the word(s) that describe
the area of your interest in that section. You can go to one
of many areas by using the navigation sytem located at the left
or at the bottom of every page.
But pointing and clicking isn't
the only way to get where you're going on the FTA site. You can
use the FTA Site Map to move
around. A link to the site map is provided at the top of the
page.
You can also navigate with your
browser's "Back" and "Next"
or "Forward" buttons. The "Back"
button will take you back to the page you were viewing immediately
prior your present page. You can click on the back button as
many times as you want to back-track through your exploration
of FTA site until you reach the home page again.
And, once you've clicked on the
"Back" button few times, you may not want to
re-navigate your way back to where you started, and that's where
the "Next" or "Forward" button
comes in. After you've navigated using the "Back"
button, clicking the "Next" button will take
you forward through your previous path without having to click
on all those hypertext links again!
The toolbar at the top of the
page simply lists the other topics on the home page and allows
you to go directly to one of those other topical areas from wherever
you are, instead of going back to the home page.
However, if you want to go back
to the homepage, all you have to do is click "FTA ICON"
on the top of any page, the word "Home" at the
bottom of the page or "Home Button" in the Navigator,
and you'll be back at the beginning.
Within the documents you'll see
in the FTA Internet site, you'll notice that some words are colored
& underlined.
If you put your cursor over them, your cursor will turn into
a hand, and that means that you can click on that word to go
to another page with more detailed information about that highlighted
term.
Some of the colored, underlined
terms end with "@flexography.org". Those terms
indicate that you can send an email message directly to us. When
you click on one of those, your email program will appear with
a new message and you can begin writing a message to the department
or person described in the first part of the email address. If
you experiencing problems with this website, please send email
to: webmaster@flexography.org. |
