ST PAUL, MN--Smyth Companies, a printer specializing in innovative label and package solutions for Fortune 500 clients in the health and beauty, food, beverage and promotional markets, has named William Challoner executive vice president, sales and marketing. He will report to Scott Fisher, president. Challoner’s duties will include direct responsibility for all sales and marketing
efforts, information technologies and “go-to-market” strategy.
“Bill has over 20 years experience in the packaging industry and brings a broad
understanding of all sales, marketing, information technologies and operational effectiveness of the business,” said Fisher. “We believe that Bill’s extensive background in in these areas will have a significant impact on our growth strategy.”
Prior to joining Smyth, Challoner wasvice president of sales and marketing for Pioneer Metal Finishing, a $110 million metal finishing company with seven locations and 900 employees located across the U.S. and Mexico. He also spent more than 12 years with WS Packaging Group, a $425 million printing and packaging company, where he was vice president, business and market development. Challoner was instrumental in integrating WS Packaging Group’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system across 18 facilities while also developing and launching web-based customer solutions that differentiated the WS Packaging brand.
