Smithfield, RI — Fine Line Graphics, Inc. has completely updated its customer support system. All three production facilities of the premedia service company’s facilities--Rochester, NY; Lenexa, KS; and Smithfield, RI—are now able to stream work from site-to-site through a dedicated pipeline, which ensures efficiency, redundancy, and back up.
• Rochester is now equipped with full Mac and Esko workstations. In addition to enhancing file separation capabilities, the office boasts a full GMG color management solution, which includes an Epson 7900 and an inline spectrophotometer for color accurate proofing.
• New offerings at the Lenexa include the 40-in. x 60-in. Kodak NX plating system supported by Kodak Prinergy. These plates, with DigiCap, allow for crisp highlight dots and densities that exceed Flexographic Image Reproduction Specifications and Tolerances (FIRST) guidelines. In addition to the new Kodak workflow in Kansas, Fine Line Graphics also boast a Roland Prototype printer, which allows its customers to order one-of-a-kind prototypes as another form of hard proofing.
Proofing has not just expanded at Fine Line sites. The premedia house has stationed remote proofing at customer plants for faster turnaround time and a shorter approval process. Customers view a hard color, accurate proof in real-time.
As the firm’s production capabilities have expanded; it has also expanded its sales force. The Fine Line Graphics sales team now covers the West Coast through Seattle, WA and the Midwest through St. Louis, MO.
